Biomet to Close Swiss Device Plant With 230 Employees
Warsaw, Ind.-based Biomet is downsizing its operations and cutting a Swiss manufacturing facility with 230 workers.
Workers will be relocated, if possible, but closing the plant is necessary because of declining global prices for medical devices. No dismissals will go into effect before June 2014.
Biomet designs and manufactures myriad spine and orthopedic devices.
