The North American Spine Society announced that it hosted a visit by Congressman Bill Foster Aug. 8.
Congressman Foster met with NASS employees who live and work in his district — the 11th Congressional District of Illinois. He also toured NASS' Spine Education and Research Center, which trains spine specialists.
Congressman Foster also highlighted NASS' efforts in Washington. John Finkenberg, MD, the NASS advocacy chair, said, "During this visit, we were able to discuss some of the national issues that impact our members' ability to provide a high standard of care to their patients, including health care reform," according to the news release.
