Spinal Elements, a spine device company based in Carlsbad, Calif., has announced its nationwide "Pledge to be a Hero" program, based on its Hero Allograft released last month and named for those who made the tissue donation possible.
The program offers surgeons and hospitals the opportunity to pledge to use only allograft tissue from companies that do not profit from the transfer of tissue, wherever clinically feasible.
The profits from Spinal Elements' Hero Allograft are donated to charities benefiting children with life-threatening medical conditions.
