Renovis Surgical received FDA clearance for its Tesera Standalone anterior lumbar interbody fusion cage.
The Tesera is a porous titanium spinal implant — one of the first such devices with a true porous structure — for long term stability and fusion. The cage is crafted through melting titanium alloy powder with an electric beam.
Renovis will launch other titanium porous devices later this year.
