The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons has announced that Canada will be the organization's Guest Nation at the 2013 annual meeting in Chicago, according to an AAOS Now report.
The Guest Nation program is designed to promote greater recognition and awareness of contributions from orthopedists around the globe, according to the report. Canada was selected because of its humanitarian assistance efforts, among other reasons.
