Richard Wohns, MD, JD, MBA, has performed the first two-level cervical artificial disc replacement surgery in the Northwest and one of the first in the nation, using Mobi-C Cervical Disc Prosthesis.

The Mobi-C Cervical Disc Prosthesis was recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and it is the only FDA-approved disc replacement device for two levels. The procedure replaced two cervical discs rather than the traditional cervical fusion procedure.

Dr. Wohns is founder and president of NeoSpine in the Puget Sound Area, Wash., and medical director of Microsurgical Spine Center in Puyallup, Wash.
