Terry Weiss, DO, a St. Louis-based orthopedic surgeon, recently received the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics Donald Siehl Award, which hasn't been presented since 2005.
Dr. Weiss is the 6th person to receive the award instituted in 1991, which honors major contributions, commitment and advancement of the field. Dr. Weiss is the co-medical director of the SSM Joint Replacement Center at DePaul Health Center — which he was instrumental in developing — and chairman of the department of orthopedics at SSM DePaul Health Center.
Dr. Weiss is a past president of AOAO and chairman of the Standard Setting Committee of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
