Robert L. Satcher Jr., MD, an orthopedic surgeon and former NASA astronaut, will be featured at the Medical College of Wisconsin's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration, according to a report from Wauwatosa Now.
Dr. Satcher has a professional interest in orthopedic oncology and completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic oncology at the University of Florida.
He was the first orthopedic surgeon to travel in space and participated in two space walks.
