Kris Parchuri, MD, a spine surgeon at Spine & Orthopedic Specialists in Tulsa, recently wrote a column for Tulsa World on finding personal success.
Dr. Parchuri wrote about focus — his number one responsibility at work — and how focus can lead people to success in their field. He suggests:
1. Writing down specific goals and lay out a plan to get there.
2. Cut out the clutter at the beginning of the day — including erroneous emails or phone calls to return — and then focus on driving what makes you successful.
3. Block out your day to begin with the most important task and don't finish until that task is complete.
4. Do something small every day to bring you closer to achieving your goal — "It takes a series of small wins that equal one big success."
