Biomet's net sales increased by 9 percent to $790.1 million in the second quarter of the 2013 fiscal year, compared with $725.1 million during the second quarter of last year.
U.S. net sales increased by 10 percent to $470.8 million.
Large joint reconstructive sales increased by 2 percent in the U.S. and 1 percent worldwide. Spine increased by 7 percent in the U.S. and 4 percent worldwide.
Sports, extremities and trauma increased by 74 percent to $152.2 million, due to a trauma acquisition.
