Center Valley, Pa.-based Aesculap Implant Systems' PL-AGE System is now available for commercial use.
The stand-alone device is intended for anterior cervical spinal fusion procedures, and is available in many sizes for intraoperative flexibility. The low profile tabs and titanium cage have been designed for easy insertion and quick placement, according to the release.
The device was designed by Fred Geisler, MD, of the Chicago Back Institute at Swedish Covenant Hospital.
