The Boston Red Sox has restructured its medical team in response to injuries and to improve efficiencies.
Under the restructuring, Laurence J. Ronan, MD, an internal medicine physician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, has been named medical director, and Dan Dyrek, DPT, was named sports medicine service coordinator.
Orthopedic specialists on the revamped medical team include: George Theodore, MD, Tom Holovacs, MD, Eric Berkson, MD, of Massachusetts General Hospital; Arun Ramappa, MD, of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; and Brian Busconi, MD, from UMass Memorial Medical Group.
