AAOS Supports Boston Bombing Victim Treatment With Free Online Trauma Articles

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is offering free online access to all recently published clinical and surgical techniques articles on severe trauma treatment to support those treating the victims of the recent Boston Marathon bombing attacks.
A large portion of the articles come from trauma care experiences of military and domestic orthopedic surgeons treating people who were severely wounded serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The publications will be free of charge until May 31, 2013.

"Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy," said AAOS President Joshua J. Jacobs, MD, in a statement. "Fellows of the AAOS demonstrated their caring, compassion and expertise by providing both first aid and definitive orthopedic care. The AAOS stands with the citizens of Boston during this difficult time."
