4 Statistics on Orthopedic Surgeons' Thoughts on ACOs

Here are four statistics on how orthopedic surgeons think accountable care organizations will affect their income based on the Medscape Orthopedist and Orthopedic Surgeon Compensation Report: 2012 Results.
Of the orthopedic surgeons asked how they thought ACOs would affect their income:
•    9 percent said ACOs will have little or no effect on income
•    26 percent said they will cause a slight decrease in income
•    26 percent said it is too early to know
•    38 percent said it will cause a large decrease in income.
