Of the orthopedic physicians asked what area of their job they found most rewarding:
• 38 percent said their relationships with patients
• 34 percent said making correct diagnoses and being good at the job
• 10 percent said assurance that they were improving the world
• 7 percent said being compensated for a job they enjoyed
• 6 percent said the pride of being a physician
• 4 percent said other
• 1 percent said nothing
