At the North American Spine Society annual meeting, Charles Mick, MD, was named president for the next year.
Dr. Mick is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and practices at Pioneer Spine and Sports Physicians in Northampton, Mass. He has been a member of NASS for 25 years and is active in health policy, coding, reimbursements and value-based spine care issues. He is also a member of the Advocacy and Rehabilitation Interventional and Medical Spine Committees.
Dr. Mick earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center and an orthopedic residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He completed a fellowship in fracture surgery at Felix-Platter Hospital in Basel, Switzerland and a spine fellowship at The Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia.
