The Cardinal Orthopaedic Institute and the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence have announced plans to merge and form the largest physician-owned orthopedic practice in Ohio, according to a report from The Columbus Dispatch.
The two practices have 49 orthopedic and physical medicine physicians combined and reports 21,000 and 17,500 new patients annually. The practices don't have current plans to consolidate, and their partnership will allow patients access to more convenient physical therapy locations.
The practices hope to finalize the merger by the middle of next year.
