Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Mich., recently joined the American Joint Replacement Registry, a not-for-profit national database of joint replacement procedures, according to a Royal Oak Patch report.
The registry contains information about joint replacements performed across the country and can help surgeons identify performance trends. The data can also be used for implant improvement and cost reduction measures associated with revisions and follow-up, according to the report.

There are currently 82 hospitals throughout the country participating in the registry, according to the report.
